Cass Lake-Bena is 10-0 against the Mustangs since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers will be playing at home against the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Cass Lake-Bena's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 18 matches.
Even though Red Lake scored an imposing 81 points on Thursday, Cass Lake-Bena still came out on top. Cass Lake-Bena took their match against the Warriors 94-81.
Kelliher/Northome won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a serious blow against Win-E-Mac, falling 87-42. While losing is never fun, Kelliher/Northome can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Patriots are ranked 182nd).
Cass Lake-Bena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Kelliher/Northome, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Everything came up roses for Cass Lake-Bena against the Mustangs in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 101-39 win. Will Cass Lake-Bena repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
