The Bay City Blackcats came into Friday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 62-54 victory over Brazosport on Friday. The win was just what Bay City needed coming off of a 57-35 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Bay City to victory were Javius Andrews and Adrian Molina. Andrews scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Molina scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Alex Estrada was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Bay City's win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-18. As for Brazosport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 18 of their last 19 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.
Bay City will be playing in front of their home fans against Stafford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bay City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Brazosport, they will head out on the road to square off against La Marque at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazosport is coming into the match with seven straight losses on the road, meaning La Marque will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
