Statesboro took down Cairo 21-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Wayne County led AAAA Region 3A in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Monroe.
Liberty County's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Waters threw for 115 yards and Freddie McSwain had 34 yards receiving. On the ground Trentice Williams chipped in 30 yards. Gyri Durant helped Liberty County's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 25 yards.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Waters and McSwain proved tough for Westover to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Durant helped Liberty County's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 25 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, South Effingham's Tyler Pullum and Tyler Hagan have proven to be a lethal combination. Pullum has thrown for 1,507 yards this season, while Hagan has 40 catches for 495 yards. Liberty County's Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 919.
Williams has rushed for 919 yards on 146 carries so far this year.
The Blue Devils made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,090 from 1,298. The improvement was the result of a 21-0 victory over the Syrupmakers last week.
