The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Kankakee Trinity Academy 65-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (58), HomeSchool Resource Center still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, HomeSchool Resource Center still got an impressive performance from Cedrick Jefferson, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. Jefferson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Fredrick Jefferson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tommy Kujawa led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kujawa has scored at least 25% of Kankakee Trinity Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Schurman, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for HomeSchool Resource Center and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
HomeSchool Resource Center will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fort Wayne HomeSchool at 12:40 p.m. Fort Wayne HomeSchool is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Families of Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
