The Perry County Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the McEwen Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought game, but Perry County had to settle for a 47-44 loss against the Wildcats. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Perry County in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Perry County saw an underclassman step up: Colton Pevahouse scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Pevahouse is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Landon Warren, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, McEwen came up short against the Rebels last Friday and fell 61-53.
Perry County's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only three points. As for McEwen, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
