On Friday, South Charlotte T came up short against the Lightning and fell 58-48. While losing is never fun, South Charlotte T can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 242nd in North Carolina, while the Lightning are ranked 49th in Virginia).
South Charlotte T's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Hill, who scored 12 points along with six assists. Luke Rullo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for South Charlotte T and nudges their season record down to 15-10. As for Harrisonburg HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.
South Charlotte T won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Hurricanes at 9:05 a.m. on February 3rd. As for Harrisonburg HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warhawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
