The Spencer County Bears had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Western with a sharp 69-49 victory on Tuesday. That 69-49 margin sets a new team best for Spencer County this season.
Spencer County was led to victory by Camden Cox and Luke Erhardt. Cox shot 4-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Erhardt scored 23 points along with five assists. The match was Erhardt's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Baird, who scored 12 points.
The win got Spencer County back to even at 3-3. As for Western, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencer County will face off against North Oldham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Western, they will head out on the road to face off against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
