Belfry won the last time they faced Man and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Hillbillies by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Eli Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Belfry let Eli Caudill and Dante Davis run wild. Caudill went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Davis went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Davis has posted since back in April. Zachary Fite was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Belfry's record now sits at 15-7. As for Man, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Belfry has already played their next match, an 8-5 win against Martin County on the 5th. As for Man, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 victory against Mingo Central on the 2nd.
