Two dominant signal callers in Judd Connally and Dominick Higgins are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Glen Rose Tigers will face off against the Seminole Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glen Rose knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Seminole likes a good challenge.
Glen Rose is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Thursday. They strolled past Mineral Wells with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glen Rose to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cross Littlejohn, who rushed for 71 yards, and also caught one score. Those 71 rushing yards gave Littlejohn a new career-high. Caden Marrs did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 107 receiving yards.
Glen Rose didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Ryder Ribitzki picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Glen Rose is 3-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. Another thorn in Mineral Wells' side was Gage Diaz, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Seminole took their contest last Thursday with ease, bagging a 77-38 victory over Levelland. Considering the Indians have won six games by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Seminole found their leader in freshman Landen Guerra, who rushed for 138 yards and one TD on only seven carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown. Guerra's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Seminole was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Seminole, adding 17 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Austin Olivas, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Glen Rose now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Seminole, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Glen Rose came out on top in a nail-biter against Seminole in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 52-50. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Indians' Wyatt Holmstrom, who threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 159 yards and one score while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Tigers to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
