After soaring to 31 points the game before, The Cholla Chargers were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 21-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Empire. Cholla lost against Empire in their previous head to head back in September of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 38-0 score last time.
Juan Guerrero threw for 55 yards on six of ten attempts. On the ground, Francisco Javier mendivil rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Ngonkra Fuangunyi, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
Cholla now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Empire, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Rio Rico the next time they take the field. Empire will host Rio Rico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Cholla will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
