It was a good run, but Northwest unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to the Mogadore Wildcats 37-31.

Amelia Morris was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds for Mogadore.

Northwest's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Mogadore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Northwest and Mogadore should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Northwest (ranked 153rd) will meet Fairless (ranked 504th) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Northwest's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Mogadore's offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Mogadore (ranked 161st) will meet Windham (ranked 748th) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
