The Centralia Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool by a score of 53-42.
Lincoln Baum and Justin Mercer certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Baum scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Mercer scored four points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Mercer hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Caden Meier was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Centralia's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Centralia will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Linn at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool will take on Wichita HomeSchool in a holiday battle at TBD on Thursday at. Wichita HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 489 points over their last seven games.
