This season hasn't been kind to the Schuyler Warriors, who are still winless after their 11th match. They had to suffer through a rough 78-38 loss at the hands of Lakeview. Schuyler has struggled against Lakeview recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rico Rodriguez, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Hernandez, who scored 13 points.
Schuyler struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Schuyler's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for Lakeview, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuyler will square off against Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeview, Lakeview and York will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (York is ranked 113th, while Lakeview is ranked 138th).
