Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Milaca's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Mora 66-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brock Talberg, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Hasz, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Cloud Cathedral pushed their score all the way to 60 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 82-60 loss at the hands of MACCRAY. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss St. Cloud Cathedral has suffered yet this season.
Milaca has fallen quite a ways from their 23-7 record last season and are now at 1-10. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Milaca beat St. Cloud Cathedral 72-61 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Milaca repeat their success, or does St. Cloud Cathedral have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
