Rivera got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Cuellar out in front who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Cuellar has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Dylan Velez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Raymondville are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Rivera, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymondville will take on Lopez at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rivera, they will head out on the road to face off against Economedes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Economedes will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
