Middle Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Obataobie Okafor, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Yasir Hall, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Cary's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stone Holcombe, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Peery, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Middle Creek now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Cary, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.
Middle Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Apex at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Apex is coming into the contest with seven straight losses on the road, meaning Middle Creek will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Cary, they will square off against Holly Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Holly Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cary in North Carolina (Holly Springs is ranked 84th, while Cary is ranked 395th).
