ASU Prep has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Imagine Prep Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. ASU Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Storm are ranked 13th).
ASU Prep pushed their score all the way to 79 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 100-79 loss at the hands of Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way.
Meanwhile, Imagine Prep entered their tilt with the Griffins with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Imagine Prep enjoyed a cozy 44-29 win over the Griffins on Friday. Imagine Prep's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
ASU Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Imagine Prep, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
ASU Prep was dealt a bruising 75-34 defeat at the hands of the Storm in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can ASU Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
