The Cascade Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the North Marion Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cascade has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 702 points over their last 11 contests.
Last Tuesday, Cascade didn't have too much trouble with Stayton at home as they won 62-47. Given Cascade's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Stayton is ranked 122nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Marion suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 81-53 loss at the hands of Philomath. North Marion has struggled against Philomath recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for North Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Cascade strolled past North Marion in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 74-57. Does Cascade have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Marion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
