Baseball Game Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Altoona Mountain Lions

Central Dauphin is 7-2 against Altoona since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountain Lions at 4:15 p.m. Central Dauphin will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Central Dauphin came out on top against Cumberland Valley on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Rams walked away with a 7-3 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Central Dauphin got a great performance from Declan Musselman as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Musselman a new career-high.

At the plate, Jace Collins was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Tommy Powell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Altoona, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Chambersburg 11-2 on Thursday.

Altoona's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Central Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
