With a playoff win on the line, Canyon Lake rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Eastside Early College Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Canyon Lake, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the sixth in a row for Canyon Lake, bringing their record up to 24-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Eastside Early College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Canyon Lake will head out to take on Travis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside Early College will be paying especially close attention to Canyon Lake's match: after Canyon Lake face off against Eastside Early College, they'll take on Eastside Early College again on Thursday.
