Pine View extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 9-3. They breezed past the Carbon Dinos to the tune of 69-39. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Reese Gustin was nothing short of spectacular: she went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points along with eight boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Harris, who posted 13 points.

Pine View was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carbon only racked up seven.

As for Carbon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Pine View is ranked 17th).

Carbon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tayla Orth, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Cartwright, who earned nine points.

Pine View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-42 victory against Mountain View on the 31st. As for Carbon, they will face off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Dinos their first taste of in-conference action this season.
