Sayre and Sullivan County pushed the score to 15-5 the last time they played Sullivan County, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Griffins 2-1. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Shaine Strickland was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Sayre's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Sullivan County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Sayre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sullivan County, they will host Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Griffins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
