The Hickory Red Tornadoes entered their tilt with the Freedom Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hickory breezed by Freedom on the road to the tune of 80-37. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-25.
Hickory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Izaiah Littlejohn led the charge by scoring 15 points. The game was Littlejohn's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jay Powell, who scored 14 points.
Hickory's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Freedom, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Hickory will head out on the road to face off against Huss at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Huss focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday. As for Freedom, they will be playing at home against East Burke at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
