Central has gone 9-1 against Tyrone recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Central is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Central came up short against Central Cambria on Friday, falling 16-3.
Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Moses, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tyrone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Bishop Carroll 16-1 on Friday.
Kaitlyn Rockwell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Rockwell was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Tyrone let Amariah Sprankle and Sage Harris run wild. Sprankle went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Harris went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Naylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Tyrone's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Central might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Tyrone in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Dragons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
