The Menlo School Knights lost against the Sacred Heart Prep Gators back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Menlo School suffered a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart Prep. While losing is never fun, Menlo School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Sacred Heart Prep is ranked 71st).
TJ O'Brien was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds for Sacred Heart Prep. Matthew Norris was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Menlo School's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Sacred Heart Prep, the win was the 12th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menlo School will take on Priory at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Menlo School and Priory are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. Sacred Heart Prep is on a three-game streak of home wins, King's Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
