Mater Bay Academy had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. The Rays' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mater Bay Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Mesa, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-3. Kaiden Jones also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mater Bay Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
