The Saegertown Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Conneaut Area Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saegertown will be strutting in after a victory while Conneaut Area will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Saegertown slipped by Iroquois 45-44. Given Saegertown's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Iroquois is ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, Conneaut Area were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Sharon 67-24. Conneaut Area has not had much luck with Sharon recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Saegertown's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Conneaut Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Saegertown beat Conneaut Area 65-54 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saegertown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
