Kankakee won the last time they faced Bloom and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kays walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blazing Trojan. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kays.

Kankakee not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bloom between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.

Ki'Asia Wilson paced Kankakee's offense, picking up seven kills. Wilson got some help from Alma Melendez and her eight assists. Angela Dethrow controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kankakee picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Bloom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Kankakee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Grace Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for Bloom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Thornton Fractional North on the 22nd.
