The Petrolia Pirates were the 42-22 winner over the Forestburg Longhorns when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The game between Petrolia and Forestburg wasn't particularly close, with Petrolia falling 58-41.
Forestburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brenna Briles led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Briles hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Lili Cisneros, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Petrolia's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Forestburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.
Petrolia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Forestburg also has no future games currently scheduled.
