On Tuesday, Ben Davis needed a bit of extra time to put away North Central. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 11-10. The Giants haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Hannah Waltermire made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Jaela Prezzy and Bailee Latimer did most of the damage at the plate: Prezzy went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and three runs, while Latimer went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four stolen bases gave Prezzy a new career-high.
Ben Davis lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Cathedral made easy work of McCutcheon on Wednesday and carried off a 9-1 win. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Cathedral's victory bumped their record up to 19-4-1. As for Ben Davis, their win bumped their record up to 3-11.
