Montini Catholic has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Providence-St. Mel Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Montini Catholic came up short against the Knights and fell 42-35.
Meanwhile, Providence-St. Mel's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a 75-57 bruising from St. Francis de Sales. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kenneth Miller put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Robert Hughes Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Montini Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Providence-St. Mel, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
Montini Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Knights in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 63-57 victory.
