18 must be Houston's lucky number: they beat Glenville-Emmons with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Hurricanes beat the Wolverines by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-4. Considering the Hurricanes have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Houston's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenville-Emmons, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Houston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Hayfield on the 11th. As for Glenville-Emmons, they will challenge Madelia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines are facing the Blackhawks at the right time seeing as the Blackhawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
