Middle College gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They crushed Rossville Christian Academy 45-6.
Middle College's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 24 points in the first half. Rossville Christian Academy came up with 6 to put the score at 24-6. The offense continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points.
No one had a larger role in the success than sophomore Patrick Richmond, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Richmond's 72-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. This was the first game for both teams, giving Middle College a 1-0 record and starting Rossville Christian Academy off at 0-1.
