After a string of four wins, Three Lakes's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They fell just short of the Somerset Spartans by a score of  2-1. While the Bluejays didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans  25-18 in the first  set.
 Three Lakes actually scored more points across those three sets (60-59), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 26-24,  15-11.
 Malia Szews paced Three Lakes' offense, picking up 12 kills. Szews got some help from  Kailyn Fogerty and her 16 assists. Fogerty was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
Three Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 28-8. As for Somerset,  with the  win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-14.
 Three Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  victory against Frederic on the 11th. As for Somerset, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  loss against Glenwood City on the 11th.
