Trinity Christian Academy got a great performance from Aaron Watson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Watson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Wheeler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Aiden Arnett was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder made easy work of Ponte Vedra on Thursday and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.
Tristan Silver was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Perry, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Bishop Snyder always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponte Vedra only posted an OBP of .316.
Bishop Snyder's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record now sits at 6-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bishop Snyder struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
