Wewahitchka waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Malone Tigers by a score of 10-7. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by exactly three runs.

Rhemy Patrick made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Walker Bailey, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Whitten, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wewahitchka's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Malone, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wewahitchka will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th. Malone will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Ashford at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th.
