Make it eight blowout wins for the Faustina Academy Falcons this season. They claimed a resounding 49-21 win over Lakewood Presbyterian at home. Winning may never get old, but Faustina Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faustina Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Denny, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Denny hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Flood, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Maya Kinson and Alice Escobar certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Kinson almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Escobar scored four points along with three steals. Kinson is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Faustina Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Faustina Academy will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Lakewood Presbyterian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
