After a string of seven wins, Lakecrest Baptist's's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The game between Lakecrest Baptist and Bloomfield Christian School wasn't particularly close, with Lakecrest Baptist falling 64-45. Lakecrest Baptist lost against Bloomfield Christian School in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-52 score last time.
Joshua Backos had an outrageously good game for Bloomfield Christian School as he shot 4-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 41 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Backos has scored at least 25% of Bloomfield Christian School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Ruma, who scored 11 points.
Lakecrest Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Bloomfield Christian School, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Lakecrest Baptist will face off against Fostoria Baptist Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fostoria Baptist Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Lakecrest Baptist is ranked fourth). As for Bloomfield Christian School, they will be playing at home against FAITH HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
