Baseball Recap: Molalla Has No Trouble Against the Dalles

After losing to The Dalles the last time they met, Molalla decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians put the hurt on the Riverhawks with a sharp 12-2 win on Monday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Molalla got a great performance from Kyler Dickerson as he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Dickerson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nyxon Hopping was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Gavin Dunn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Molalla's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for The Dalles, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
