The Butte Valley Bulldogs lost against the Happy Camp Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Butte Valley fell just short of Happy Camp by a score of 38-35. Butte Valley has struggled against Happy Camp recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Michael Hauki was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 rebounds. Hauki is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Trevor Johnson-Conrad, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Butte Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Happy Camp, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Butte Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tulelake at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
