There's no place like home for the Kaufman Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ford 57-23 at home. The win was just what Kaufman needed coming off of a 66-38 loss in their prior game.
Kaufman found their leader in underclassman Kaylee Wrenn, who scored 32 points along with six assists and six steals. Wrenn also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Lillie Reven was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Kaufman pushed their record up to 15-11 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ford, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Kaufman will head out on the road to face off against Caddo Mills at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Caddo Mills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 893rd, while Kaufman is ranked 373rd). As for Ford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Community at 6:15 p.m.
