The Terry Bulldogs posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Holmes County Central out 37-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Terry.
Terry's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Toniah Watts, who scored nine points along with three steals and two blocks. Elisiah Branson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Terry is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Holmes County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terry will take on Pearl River Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pearl River Central is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Holmes County Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Yazoo City at 6:00 p.m.
