Amherst County's loss came despite strong showings from Hannah Hooper and Syrell McQueen. Hooper scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while McQueen scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Emmena Awanda, who scored two points along with five rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Brookville back to even at 9-9. As for Amherst County, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
