The Glenbard North Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Park Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glenbard North took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Geneva 15-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Aubry Miller was incredible, firing off three home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tru Medina, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Glenbard North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Geneva only posted an OBP of .381.
Meanwhile, Lake Park waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Bison as they made off with a 9-2 win.
Kaylee Fritzler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Arenz, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Emma Gdowski also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Lake Park pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Glenbard North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Glenbard North hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 2.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lake Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Glenbard North couldn't quite finish off Lake Park in their previous matchup back in April and fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
