Basketball Recap: Osceola Drops Highest Score of Season Against Tarpon Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Osceola). They breezed by the Tarpon Springs Spongers to the tune of 81-32 on Friday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Spongers are ranked 728th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Osceola can attribute much of their success to Aidan Lemons, who went 6 of 8 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Dyals, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Osceola moved to 11-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will face off against Indian Rocks Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Indian Rocks Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Osceola surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tarpon Springs, they will challenge Anclote at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
