Enterprise extended the longest winning streak in Eastern this week by beating Chico, 56-48. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Shasta moved up to 268 from 306 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wolves were able to move up by defeating Red Bluff 35-14.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Grant Smith. The Foothill star has 20 catches for 257 yards.
Next week's game between the Panthers and the Spartans will feature an aerial matchup as Clayton Welch tests his arm against Greg Dufour's defensive ability. Chico's Welch has recorded 635 yards and 7 touchdowns this year, while Red Bluff's Dufour has 2 interceptions to his name.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Jason Alvistur's team and Corey Hein's team face off next week.
An important game coming up in Eastern this week will be when Enterprise takes on Paradise. At the moment, Darren Trueblood's team is in first, while the Bobcats are in fourth.
Pleasant Valley fell to West Valley 50-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
