The Montgomery Central Indians can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-30 victory over Fort Campbell. The win was just what Montgomery Central needed coming off of a 68-11 defeat in their prior matchup.
Fort Campbell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rosella Rajj, who scored 20 points along with four steals. That was a full 66.7% of Fort Campbell's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Saniyah Bell, who scored five points.
Montgomery Central's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Fort Campbell, their defeat was their 25th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
Montgomery Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Campbell will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. Hopefully Fort Campbell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Friday.
