Softball Recap: Bear Lake Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bear Lake made up a huge gap compared to their last game against North Fremont, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Bear Lake was the clear victor by a 14-7 margin over North Fremont on Saturday. With that win, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Bear Lake got a massive performance out of Kambria Romrell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs Romrell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bentley Price, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Romrell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bear Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. Bear Lake is 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory was the third in a row for Bear Lake, bringing their record up to 4-6. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 8.33 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.14 in the others. As for North Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Bear Lake wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-8 defeat against Soda Springs on the 29th. As for North Fremont, they will head out to square off against Firth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Fremont is facing Firth at the right time seeing as Firth is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
