Continental is 0-7 against Fairview since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Continental Pirates are on the road again and play against the Fairview Apaches at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Continental will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 703rd, while Fairview is ranked 284th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 46-7, which was the final score in Continental's tilt against Tinora on Thursday. Continental has struggled against Tinora recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kenzie Shock was Continental's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Ella Siefer held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. Siefer took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fairview beat Wauseon 50-44 on Monday. The win was just what Fairview needed coming off of a 69-34 loss in their prior match.
Continental's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Fairview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Continental took a serious blow against Fairview when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 65-32. Can Continental avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
