Voyager Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against Triangle Math & Science Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will head out to square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Voyager Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.
Voyager Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past East Wake Academy 84-60. The Vikings pushed the score to 59-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Voyager Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carlos Green out in front who went 10-for-16 to rack up 24 points and seven boards. Those 24 points gave Green a new career-high. Darin Jones was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 23 points.
Meanwhile, Triangle Math & Science Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 14th on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Franklin Academy and fell 59-30. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Tigers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Voyager Academy will need to focus on slowing down Hansen Howard, one of several Triangle Math & Science Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted seven points.
Voyager Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Triangle Math & Science Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jones and Jailen Hawkins. Jones has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 16.8 points, 1.4 steals, and 3.4 assists. For his part, Hawkins has averaged 16 points, 2.2 blocks, and 2.1 steals.
Everything came up roses for Voyager Academy against Triangle Math & Science Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, as the team secured an 80-29 win.
